Date datatype for ASSETATTRIBUTE, search by date

We would like to add a Date type as data type attributes to a classification. Today we only have Numeric, ALN or Table types.
Additionally, it would be very helpful to have the possibility to search a date type attribute between two dates values.

    To support this in Specifications tables, QBE needs to be enhanced for DATE type attributes to allow ">=2020/06/01 <2020/07/01" to be translated into SQL as "on or after June 1, 2020 AND before July 1, 2020". Rephrased, QBE needs to allow From and To in the one filter field, for the sake of the filter row on tables for date columns. It should be straight-forward enough to use > and < as clues that From and To are being given and allow , (comma) to still mean "OR" so that multiple ranges could be given.
