Highlight Changes to Job Plan During Revision Process

Job plan revisions are a critical feature in the Maximo application. This feature allows organizations to adjust the job plan to address changes in requirements while ensuring the history is maintained. One of the biggest challenges for an approver of job plan revisions is identifying what's changed before approving. While Maximo supports providing comments on the revision, it's not always used and rarely encompasses all changes.

These changes also come in many forms. It could be changes to tasks, changes to attachments (both at the task and job plan level), changes to labor, materials, services, or tools, classification or specification changes, etc. With a wide variety of changes it's easy to miss what was changed and whether that was intentional or not.

We think Maximo should track what has been modified on the revision and be able to surface that to the user in some way so they can evaluate the changes for accuracy.

The feature to show what changed can be useful in any application that allows revisions such as PRs and POs.
