Automation script in relationship where clause

Maximo has a mechanism that uses Java classes in Maximo relationships.

For example, the WORKORDER object has a relationship called WOWORKLOG that uses a method in a Java class to determine what to return. By referencing mbomethod:getWorkLog, Maximo knows to get the Java class and call the getWorkLog method to determine how to get the set.

It would be helpful if IBM could implement something similar, but using automation script functions, instead of Java class methods.

If we could use a automation script (like script:getWorkLog), that would allow us to implement complicated logic that is potentially difficult, inefficient, or too verbose for SQL. And would let us avoid custom Java classes/EARs/downtime.

    I think this is different than using an automation to get condtional 'where'.
    It is about using an automation script to get a database relation.

    Thank you for your submission. The scripting to support the conditional 'where' has been added and will be available in the next release (7613, 2Q 2022 and MAS 8.7 1Q 2022).
