This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

As a way to avoid excessive coding via automation scripts, it would be helpful if IBM could implement a rules engine:
Provide "if this, then that" logic approach to any MBO without having to write custom code.
Via a table with the following fields:
rulename
rulesequence
isruleactive (to disable rule if needed)
objectname
attributename
condition (evaluate to true or false); uses conditional expressions
action (if true) - optional
action (if false) - optional
On validate() — for the MBO that determines which rules to execute and in what sequence.

To IBM,
Glad to hear this is going to planned for a future release.
If you wish to reach out to us please do so. We have implemented the described Rules Engine which is working well for us and there is much more detail we can provide to help provide some history and rationale for some of the design decisions taken.
Would be extremely useful if such an implementation was available in the core product.
It would take care of (for us) 95% of validation ,reducing the need for workflow and custom code.
