Create custom table or view object without db config

We can enable(create) audit tables without needing a db config outage.

If that's the case, then why do we need db config to create a custom table/view?

  • Aren't the two scenarios similar? I would think a custom table/view would be low risk. It seems like it should be possible to add a custom table/view to the Maximo data dictionary on the fly -- without the need for db config (just like we can do for audit tables).

Could IBM make it so we can create a custom table or view -- without the need for a db config outage?
