This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Recently, IBM fixed some issues regarding applying db config/admin mode in clustered environments:
IJ33436: PRESENTATION CACHE RELOAD DURING ADMIN MODE PREVENTS JVM FROM EXITING ADMIN MODE
An issue with caches was resolved in 7.6.1.2 IFIX 12
Meanwhile, IBM Support has pointed us to a TechNote that provides recommendations/instructions for applying db config/admin mode in clustered environments.
That implies that it needs to be done through the command line/WebSphere, not exclusively through the Maximo UI.
Those instructions are out of date, since some of the issues were fixed. Could IBM provide updated instructions for applying db config/admin mode to clustered environments?
There seems to be a lot of confusion in this area. Some people apply db config/admin mode to clustered environments exclusively through the Maximo UI -- supposedly without issue. While other organizations are still under the impression that it's dangerous to do that. Instead, they do it through the command line/WebSphere. But that isn't the preferable option for some organizations (like ours). So if that's not necessary, and db config/admin mode can be applied exclusively through the Maximo UI, then we need some official information on it to help guide us going forward.
