Make ROS / ad hoc report editing rule smarter

There is a rule where we can't edit an ad hoc report if its ROS has been edited after the report was created.

That rule makes sense, but only for certain kinds of ROS edits.

There are lots of changes we could make to the ROS -- that wouldn't ever compromise ad hoc reports that are based on it.

Idea:

When editing an ROS, could Maximo flag whether any of the edits would compromise ad hoc reports?

  • If ROS date is newer than ad hoc report date —and— MAXINTOBJECT.PREVENT_REPORT_EDIT=1, then don't allow edits to the ad hoc report

  • Else, allow edits to the ad hoc report

That would save us a lot of headache. It's a nuisance that a harmless edit to an ROS prevents editing any of its ad hoc reports. We're aware that we can duplicate ad reports as a workaround, but that has it's own problems.
