Improve performance on adding job plans with a high number of tasks to workorders

I have a customer who has multiple jobplans that have a high number of tasks (>100 tasks). Whenever such a task is added to a workorder the user will need to wait for the system to have processed all these tasks until she/he can continue working. The processing time increases from 30 seconds for job plans with 100 tasks to over 4 mimutes for the really large ones holding 500+ tasks. This affects customerr satisfaction and acceptance of the system. So please provide a way of speeding up this process.
