Maximo Inspections - PARENTWO InspectionResult Record Should Be Deleted If WO Is Deleted


When an Inspection Form is populated on a WO and the WO is saved, or its Status is progressed (depending on a System Property), an InspectionResult record is created with ReferenceObject set to "WORKORDER", ReferenceObjectID set to the WONum of the WO, and Parent also set to the WONum of the WO.


When an Inspection Form is populated on a MultiAssetLocCI record related to a WO and the WO is saved, or its Status is progressed (depending on a System Property), an InspectionResult record is created with ReferenceObject set to "MULTIASSETLOCCI", ReferenceObjectID set to the MultiID of the MultiAssetLocCI record, and Parent set to the WONum of the WO.


Depending on another System Property, another InspectionResult record may be created with ReferenceObject set to "PARENTWO", ReferenceObjectID set to the WONum of the WO, and Parent left NULL. This record may also be created if an Inspection Form is entered on a MultiAssetLocCI record related to the WO.


If a WO and/or MultiAssetLocCI is deleted, the corresponding InspectionResult record(s) with ReferenceObject "WORKORDER" (or "WOACTIVITY") and/or "MULTIASSETLOCCI" are also deleted.


However, if a WO is deleted and it has a corresponding InspectionResult record with ReferenceObject "PARENTWO", that InspectionResult record is not deleted. We believe it should be. We believe the fact that it isn't is a bug but were told it would be an enhancement.



Additionally, if a user attempts to delete a WO or MultiAssetLocCI record with related InspectionResult record, we believe the user should get an error if any InspectionResult record has a Status other than PENDING (or Cancelled).
