This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

This is Maximo 7.6.1.3
But what I mean is that a question can be saved without any response fields as shown in aatached screenshot
Steps to reproduce is
Create a question
Give a description
Click Done
Which version of Maximo are you in? The reason I'm asking is that currently users cannot save or activate a form if they have Single Choice/Multiple Choice response fields without linked responses, as shown in the screenshot I sent previously.
No, that is not what i mean. This is not with regard to completing the form (inspectionresult) but this is with regard to building the form (inspectionform). I would like a message that when a user wants to activate a new inspectionform there is a message that the form cannot be activated because there are questions without a linked response
Thanks for the clarification, I understand it now. What you need is a way to warn the user that there are unanswered questions before completing the form, right?
However, if the user is required to provide an answer to a question:
There is an option to make that question mandatory while building the form, so that the "Complete" button will not be enabled until all the mandatory questions in that form have been provided an answer, or,
If the "Complete" button is enabled even with unanswered mandatory questions, then that's a defect and should be addressed via support case, or,
What I see as an enhancement item here is that the system could throw a message after clicking on "Complete" button, warning the user that there are unanswered questions even though they are not mandatory (if Complete was enabled, all mandatory ones were answered). I've created an enhancement item for this in our backlog.
No that does not solve the problem. The problem is that there was no response selected at all. So only the question and a description. When pressing "Done" you would need to get the message that a response is required before saving the question.
Just did one quick test, does this solve the problem on the described scenario (attached)?
Understood! Thank you for the clarification, I will add this to our future development plans.
It is not a specific scenario but you are able to forget to add a response to a question, and if you do so, adding and or configuring conditions do no longer work. So it would be helpful if there was a check on saving the inspection form that there are questions without a response. This would prevent such errors.
Not sure the scenario is properly understood. What is the scenario where a SO question would be used without any response option?
