QR code integration with BIRT and Maximo

Customers are looking to generate QR code labels for Item and Assets using BIRT Report tool, as they are bulkily directly printing to printer and ease to get the labels,

As OOB Maximo doesn't have QR Code inbuilt logic, customers are procuring 3rd party libraries and it is getting difficult to support these libraries in future has the java version get updated and vendor is not responding in times.

With Open-source libraries there are drawback with HD quality, Margins and direct prints,

QR codes occupy less space than linear bar codes, so most often QR codes are being printed.

If product can develop a library for BIRT or Maximo which would generate QR codes, it would be really helpful.

    Thank you for your submission. There are many ways to do this with integrations to third party tools. This is not something that is planning to be delivered in the next 18-24 months.
