Clients need to understand how to backup and restore their MAS installations to ensure data integrity in case of an emergency. Recommended processes and tools need to be thoroughly documented and tested in real world scenarios and be regularly updated and quality assured for each iteration/version of MAS. Given that most customers are fairly new to an OpenShift cluster infrastructure and container orchestration there is a need for IBM to provide detailed guidance in this area with a focus on the various components of MAS and their persistent data.

Comprehensive backup and restore guidance is now provided in our IBM docs: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/mas-cd/continuous-delivery?topic=procedures-backup-restore-process-overview
There is further work on our backlogs for more automation for BC/DR scenarios, to be included in future releases.
Thank you for the feedback. We recognise the importance of clear guidance on backup and restore practices for MAS. Our team is working on some new documentation to be published soon. Through a phased approach, these documented practices will integrated and automated through our operators over the next few releases.
