This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

Job Statement
We have observed that Health Score Contributors aren’t meeting need [because???] it doesn't summarize the health of the top level system using lower level subsytem scores. ( Like number of work orders or preventive maintenance needs at a system level. which is causing Unable to understand the top level health of a system that contains assets/ locations/ subsystems each with their own health score.
By allowing scoring groups to belong and contribute to scores of the above scoring group Health maybe more successful calculating the top level health or custom scores of an system/asset.
Business Need/Problem
Ensure system level performance uptime and ability to avoid unscheduled maintenance caused by subsystem / components having problems.
User Need/Problem
As a reliability engineer, when I'm trying to understand if my systems performance as a whole is working properly, I need to be able to understand what subsystem, individual asset or location is contributing to poor performance , so that I can action the source cause of the problem to avoid service outages or catastrophic failure.
Too many assets / components to verify at subcomponent level to verify individually. Need to roll up to easy verifying health or scores of systems.
Implementation Idea
One possible Implementation idea was to allow groups to include groups in https://ibm-ai-apps-internal.ideas.aha.io/ideas/APMCORE-I-48
Original Idea submitted:
To handle and monitor the performance of the system throughout the lifecycle.
Atm, Maximo does not have a single application where we can track the different systems performance as a whole.
Ex: Auxiliary systems, Electrical systems, Thermal protection system etc. There could be hundreds of systems having thousands of locations.
Work order/PMs/log book are distributed areas where work will happen against each location.
There could be one single application 'Aging Management' -- where each system performance can be monitored by system engineers.
Possible areas to track in each system:
- System details, Aging management class, Safety class, log book related to that system, condition reports/work orders/PMs for that system, Aging mechanisms, different maintenance programs tagged to different locations in that system.
This gives a holistic view of the system, where the performance as a whole can be analyzed and viewed.

Anil Dontaraju

Thanks @anil Dontarju
Well, we are refering more at the Maximo Base version to include features like this to get a hollistic view of the different systems.
I understand that Maximo Health and Maximo Health and Predict - Utilities (HPU)- will cover advanced features.
In our environment of Maximo, we configured a custom application which gives a hollistic view of the different systems (covering locations/maintenance programs/etc) under that which is easy access to system engineers to assess the system condition.
Atm, we do not have Asset Health, we can install that and get back with further information on this case.
Hi Anil Dontaraju, I have updated your submitted idea title and description to help us better understand the problem you would like to address and what is the best improvement. Please provide more input based on bold areas of the idea description. Also can you tell us why one of the following 3 ways doesn't work for you? http://maximo-lab.monitordemo4.ibmmam.com/apm_8.9/asset_scores/
