Keeping DB Backup for extended period of time (beyond 1 month) automatically.

This is an Ask from our client. It is useful for the below reason:

1. Investigate any data issue  by restoring the older backup, if it is not traceable when it was introduced.

2. Restore lower environment with older backup (say 6 month old).

3. Build up a environment easily by applying a golden copy of DB Backup.

Currently as part of managed service we keep 1 week of backup in non-prod environment and for Prod we keep 1 month of db backup. Some time it is useful, to keep the older backup as well. And here we are not asking to keep daily db backup for longer period.

Ask is, keep daily backup till 1 month. Post 1 month keep 1 copy of db backup per month atleast for next 6-12 month as requested by Client.

In addition, we prefer to keep this backup in the same system and to be managed by hosting team, we don't prefer to transfer file and manage by project team, as client may not have a designated system / service to manage this types of file. Also we don't want to take any risk to corrupt the file during transfer.
