Maximo has an ABC Type for Cycle Counting with options A, B, C and N - with N it means that the item is excluded from Cycle Counting. Items which are excluded are those where you would only perform a physical count once per year as part of the yearly audit. Cycle Count Frequencies would then be typically shorter than 365 days.
With Count Books there is an Item Selection of CNTFREQ - Counting Frequency which is aimed at those performing cycle counts, but this must be able to exclude items with ABC Type = 'N'. But it should be a general option for any Item Selection to say, exclude where ABC Type = 'N', the field label might say 'Exclude Items where counting is not required'. This option could be added to Organizations application and dialog Count Book Options, but a field on the COUNTBOOK object would give more flexibility.
