Introduce acknowledgement/delay on triggering the labor timer

Being the external contractor’s technician, I kindly ask to better know when I have started a timer in the Maximo Mobile app, so that I don’t have x number of timers running without my knowledge.

My workday is mostly outside in all kinds of weather, which often include a work environment where I get dirty. In addition, cold weather makes me wear gloves.

Looking for a new work order to start working on, I scroll up and down the list of available work orders. If I by mistake come to put my thumb on the timer when scrolling up/down, my experience is that I have started a timer without knowing it.

I kindly ask to have either 1) some kind of acknowledge I need to give before the timer actually starts or 2) I need to press the timer button and hold it for e.g., 2 seconds before it starts.

In addition, looking at the Out-Of-The-Box standard queries provided in Maximo Mobile, I kindly ask to have one of the queries to tell me which timers I have running. It will save me time to have a specific list instead of me scrolling up and down trying to find the active timers.

Sund & Bælt acknowledges that other IBM Maximo Mobile customers might have a need for eliminating as many clicks as possible and presses on buttons. Hence, we suggest having a parameter to configure whether above acknowledgement or button activation delay should exist or not.
