Maximo Mobile - Need lookup search behavior similar to core Maximo.

In Maximo Mobile/RBA, when you click on any lookup (for let's say ASSET or LOCATION in create workorder page in TECHMOBILE or any other page), it gives the options for combined search for all listed columns in that lookup instead of giving search option for each of the columns. This behavior is totally different with respect to core Maximo.

Due to this, technicians are not having friendly experience with Maximo Mobile. This is kind of becoming additional learning exercise for the technicians and end-users and for trainers too which in turn becoming additional overhead.


This behavior needs improvement, or it needs to be similar with respect to the core Maximo.

    As part of the review process, we strive to be transparent about our intentions with each enhancement suggestion. The offering team has carefully reviewed this idea and has decided that it does not fit into our current plans, Mobile is a different product, different technology, a different dataset and likely the user experience will be different. There's an idea currently in plans to make the search of assets and locations common across all modules in Mobile, as well as to add new capabilities not available in Mobile today, such as location drilldown, other search criterias, map search and more. You can track it by subscribing to https://ibm-ai-apps.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/MOBILE1-I-242 . The idea will be kept in IBM's ideas repository and may still be voted on.
