The Scheduled Start and Scheduled Finish dates for a work order created under quick reporting are not required, the work order will already be at INPRG state and will either have finished or will have been started. The assignment will have been created with an assignment schedule start of time now.
What would be more appropriate is to optionally allow the Actual Start and Actual Finish to be entered and to use the Actual Start as the INPRG status date. This is reporting a work order retrospectively, you have already carried out the work. It may occur, when operations stop the maintenance engineer as they are walking past and show them an asset which has a fault. If fault can be fixed immediately, the work order is likely to be reported after the work is complete - sometimes referred to as a corridor stop.
The Actual Finish is the work assignment finish and not the work order actual finish. The hours in between would often be the hours to be recorded as labor hours.
