Opening the URL Attachments in External Browser

Hi Team,

We have attachments of URL type that are causing issues when accessed via Maximo Mobile. In Maximo Manage (Web), clicking the attachment downloads it to the local file system, allowing users to open it with local software.

However, in Maximo Mobile, when attempting to open these attachments, it tries to invoke the in-app browser. The URLs are designed to download PDF/documents when invoked. Unfortunately, it seems that Maximo Mobile is unable to render the downloaded documents, although images open without issues.

Please assist us in resolving this by allowing PDFs to open externally. We're submitting this idea for your review and support.

Hello Srinivasa — You can now change the browser used to launch external URLs instead of using the in-app browser.

When you install the app and open it for the first time, tap the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the page to enter the server URL. Then, click on Login Settings and select a different option other than the in-app browser.
