Inspection Forms - Do not persist answers to questions that are made invisible

When questions are made invisible (via conditional settings) after user populated values, Maximo will retain those values in the inspection result.

While this might be okay for most question types, when questions are of type meter, Maximo will propagate the value into the measurement table for the asset or location.

We have been told this is working as designed as the visibility toggle will only affect what the user is seeing in the UI, not the information that have persisted already.

This IDEA is to review this design at least for meter based questions or perhaps make it configurable.

Hi Andre, thanks for your input. This was already in the radar. The goal is really to persist those invisible responses, because if the user have a large list of conditional responses and accidentally switch an option, likely he'll loose all the answers he provided. Instead, we'll persist required/visible toggle with the responses, so we know based on conditions, what was really "the state" of that question as responsed and, with that, we can filter server side to not propagate the "invisible" responses to meter readings. I set the idea to be included in the upcoming release.
