Ad Hoc Count app forces save/discard before viewing another item’s details on Maximo Mobile EAM (windows)

Description:

In the Maximo Mobile Inventory – Ad Hoc Count (role-based) application, users are forced to either save or discard any in-progress changes before they can view the material details of a different item. This behavior disrupts the workflow and is inconvenient for users who want to review other items without finalizing or losing their current input.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch the Maximo Mobile Inventory – Ad Hoc Count (role-based) Maximo Mobile EAM (windows).
  2. Enter a count for the first item.
  3. Attempt to view the material details of a second item.
  4. Observe that the application prompts the user to either save or discard the changes before proceeding.

Expected Behavior:

Users should be able to view the material details of other items without being forced to save or discard the current changes.

Actual Behavior:

The application restricts access to other items’ details until all the current changes are either saved or discarded.

Impact:

This behavior significantly disrupts the physical count process, particularly when users need to reference or compare details across multiple items before finalizing their entries.

Thank you for providing the idea, we greatly value your feedback. This behavior was changed with the 9.1 release of the MAS Mobile inventory module. Item details do not require leaving the screen, thus no SAVE required prompt is displayed.
