Include JS library for QR/Bar Code generation in MAF image

In today’s mobile-first world, users expect fast, intuitive, and touch-free interactions. QR codes offer a simple yet powerful way to meet these expectations by enabling users to scan and instantly access relevant data—without typing, searching, or navigating complex menus.

In Maximo Mobile, being able to generate QR/Bar codes can dramatically improve usability by:

  • Reducing manual data entry

  • Minimizing errors

  • Accelerating task completion

  • Supporting hands-free workflows in field environments

Whether it's scanning a work order, asset tag, or location code, users benefit from a smoother, faster experience when they are using Maximo Mobile in combination with other applications. Please look into including the qrcode NPM package in the base Maximo Application Framework (MAF) image to ensure developers can deliver these enhancements without additional setup, making QR code functionality a native part of the Maximo ecosystem.
