Add NFC tag writing capability

During the asset lifecycle, it is normal to register and deregister assets. Therefore, if a customer uses NFC tags, it is normal to write to them.

Currently, IBM Maximo Mobile does not have the ability to write to NFC tags, which forces customers to use third-party applications. This has an impact on IT and cybersecurity, in addition to the additional training required for on-site staff to use another application.

    NFC writing is a key requirement for customers operating in harsh industrial environments. Barcodes and QR codes can become damaged by fuel exposure, weather conditions, dirt, or UV radiation, while NFC tags remain readable for much longer. Allowing technicians to write and update NFC tags directly from Maximo Mobile would eliminate the need for third-party applications, reduce training and security concerns, and provide a more efficient asset and location management process.
