Technicians need to be able to add a URL attachment

Currently the Technician app only allows a user to add a new file attachment to a work order. They can see URL based attachments and launch the external link when online but they cannot create a new URL Link.

Experienced Technicians who see that attachments are missing on the work order can log in to SharePoint and find the files. While they can copy the URL link there is no facility in the Technician app for creating a new attached document of type URL. Adding the attachment to the work order from the Technician app will help work planners (who are sometimes less experienced) when they are creating similar work in the future. It is a way of being able to pass some of that experience on to a younger generation.

Ideally there would also be a checkbox on the work order to indicate when attachments have been added by Technicians using Maximo Mobile or the Role-based application (Technician Added Attachments).

Thanks for your feedback, Andrew. Do you truly believe that, from the mobile app, a technician would copy/paste a URL from somewhere to become an attachment in a work order? I'm questioning really to understand if this is a use case that we should pursue from the app side.
