Inspection Forms for Item Receiving Process

Currently, the inspection process during material receiving is limited to two fields, where the inspector simply defines whether the material is accepted or rejected. While this approach supports basic validation, it does not provide sufficient detail, traceability, or evidence for quality control purposes.

With the increasing adoption of mobile solutions in field operations, there is a growing need to enhance this process by introducing structured inspection capabilities.

We propose the implementation of inspection forms associated with receiving transactions which item require inspection, enabling:

  • Creation of standardized inspection checklists for different types of materials
  • Definition of inspection questions/items to guide the user during the receiving process
  • Ability to capture photos and attachments directly from mobile devices
  • Recording of detailed inspection results beyond simple accept/reject decisions
  • Improved auditability and traceability of receiving activities

This enhancement will allow organizations to establish a more robust and consistent inspection process, ensuring higher data quality, better compliance, and stronger evidence to support material acceptance or rejection decisions.
