Mobile Inspection Forms: Attachment Section Occupies Excessive Screen Space and Reduces Usability

In mobile inspection forms, the attachment section displays the message "Keine anzuzeigenden Anhänge" in an excessively large format whenever no attachment exists.

On smartphones Ja, this message occupies a disproportionate amount of the available screen space despite containing only a few words.

As a result:

  • Previous and subsequent questions are pushed out of the visible area.
  • Users lose orientation within the inspection form.
  • Additional scrolling is required.
  • The inspection flow becomes less efficient.
  • Valuable screen space is consumed by a status message instead of inspection content.

This issue is especially problematic because inspection forms are frequently used by technicians, craftsmen, maintenance personnel and other operational users working directly on mobile devices in the field.

For these users, screen space is limited and should be used primarily for inspection questions, answers and attachments rather than displaying oversized informational text.

Furthermore, once an attachment has been added, the interface suddenly switches to a significantly more compact layout ("Upload a file"), demonstrating that a more space-efficient design already exists.

The current behavior creates an inconsistent user experience and negatively impacts usability during inspections.
