Start and Complete assignments in Maximo mobile without affecting the work order status

In Maximo 7.6 and Anywhere, with customization it is possible to work with Assignments when having one or more technican working on a work order.

  • The planner creates work orders, assigns labor resources and approve the work order.

  • The technicians then sees their Assignments in Anywhere and work against each Assignment.

  • The technican change the assignment status but the work order status is not affected.

  • When the last assignment is completed the hole work order will be completed.

This way of working with assignments should be applied to MAS and Maximo mobile.

This way of working enables several technicians to work on the same work order efficiently without any misunderstandings about who is responsible for completing the work order, and the planner can easily see information about each assignment.
