Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) Mobile & Role-Based App for Purchase Order (PO) Summary & Workflow Approvals

Currently, in Maximo Application Suite (MAS 8.x / 9.x), mobile and browser role-based applications exist primarily for Maintenance and Inventory roles (e.g., WOSUMMARY for Work Order Summaries, Work Approvals for WO approvals, and Inventory Receiving for storeroom clerks). However, there is no out-of-the-box (OOTB) light, role-based, or mobile application designed specifically for Procurement Managers, Approvers, and Budget Holders to review Purchase Order (PO) details and process workflow approvals on the go.

While storeroom clerks can view POs in the Inventory Receiving app, this is optimized for receiving materials, not for administrative approval workflows or spending authorization.

Requiring custom cloning/development of WOSUMMARY via the Maximo Application Framework (MAF) Configuration Tool imposes extra development costs, upgrade overhead, and customization maintenance for customers who simply require standard procurement workflow sign-offs.
