This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Thank you David. This seems simple and valuable; promoting to an upcoming release.
Before / After Explanation and Navigation Context
This enhancement applies to the Drilldown dialog that appears when selecting a Location or Asset from applications such as Assets, Work Orders, and Locations.
How to navigate to the screen:
1) Open the Assets application
2) Click Find Asset (or open an asset record)
3) Use the Drilldown icon to open the hierarchical Location / Asset tree
When enhancement applied in Maximo 7.6, this dialog could be resized by the user via a small UI handle in the lower-right corner of the drilldown window. This allowed users to expand the dialog both horizontally and vertically.
Before resizing:
- Long Location and Asset paths are truncated
- Users must rely on left/right scrolling, making it difficult to understand full context
After resizing:
- Users can clearly see the full hierarchy and path
- Significantly improves readability and usability for deep or complex hierarchies
From a user perspective, this was a small but highly valued quality-of-life feature, particularly for planners, maintenance, and reliability users working with large asset structures.
In MAS SaaS, we understand that custom CSS changes are not supported for Standard tier clients. However, enabling this capability as an OOTB configurable option (e.g., system property or UI setting) would provide immediate value to many customers without requiring tier changes.
We received consistently positive feedback on this feature in 7.6, and its absence in MAS has been noticed by users.
I have provided a before and after screenshot showing the benefit of the feature.
Happy to provide additional screenshots or walkthroughs if helpful.
Thanks and yes, a screenshot would be helpful to be sure of the exact area in the product that is targeted by that class.
I'm IBM SRE (hosting team) - we don't actually have access inside MAS Manage, just the underlying OpenShift infra/AWS/IBM Cloud things.
I put the original requesting customer's contact (Canlin - david.frew@canlinenergy.com) on that request and the case is long closed - if you could - please reach put to that email and ask them for that screenshot, I'm sure they'd be happy to provide it
