The Business Case would be that the Direct Issue requested item is no longer for the work order but there are other valid items on the same PR that have either already had some other lines procured under a PO or are on an RFQ – in these cases, you cannot cancel the entire PR and would need to flip the PR status back to WAPPR to delete the line. Additionally, as long as there is a PR associated to the Work Order, the Line organization is unable to delete the original requested DI item from the WO plans tab.


We were discussing with Development about this issue that you reported, and after investigating it, Development mentioned this is working as expected, If a user modifies the PR line numbers, those changes are not propagated to the work order's planned materials. It could be considered as an enhancement on the product (not a bug), which means that this functionality is not currently present in Maximo, and that this cannot be fixed on the current version since the fix would require changes to the product architecture.
