Maximo Invoice number Missing sequence

We understand that Maximo Invoice numbers are generated in sequence.


However, if user clicks on ‘New Invoice’ icon into the Invoices applications and decides Not to Save the record; then in this case that particular Invoice Number will be Missed/Lost and will not be stored into the database.


This results in creating the Gaps between the Invoice Numbers, because when user goes to create next Invoice and Saves it, next sequence is taken.



Kindly suggest how these gaps can be avoided.

    Thank you for your suggestion. There are many complexities with attempting to implement this kind of change and it is not something that is a priority in the next several releases.
