MAS 8.9 includes a new capability where the system administrator can specify if the environment is for production / non-production.
This is an important capability because it affects the app points usage - non-production environments will require fewer app points.
Once the software has been installed the setting cannot be reversed. If the system administrator makes the wrong choice then the system administrator needs to reinstall the whole suite. Reinstalling the suite could lose a project a significant number of days.
This request is to change the installer so it explicitly forces the system administrator to make a conscious decision about the setting.
The installer must provide clear advice so the system administrator understands the implications of the choice that they are making and that they cannot reverse the decision.

Thank you for the feedback. We are looking at improving the documentation around this new feature and ways we can make the decision point an explicit choice.
