This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Hi - Thank you for your idea.
The ConfigMap and the MongoCfg resource only contain the CA certificate (which typically is set to last for 10 or 20 years) and so don't need to be updated when the Server certificate is renewed.
For version 0.7.0 (and earlier versions) of the MongoDb community operator the user has to create the ConfigMap and also the certManager resources needed to integrate with certmanager. We have included code in the MAS Ansible devops collection to create the ConfigMap and the certManager resources
Somewhere between version 0.7.1 and 0.7.5 the MongoDb community operator added its own integration with cert manager. We may add support for this in the future but this is not a priority for our current roadmap.
