User Facing Audit Trail Visibility

A common request from management is to be able to view audit trail data for inventory and purchasing within the Maximo UI. This would essentially be a human-readable, easily accessible view of data contained in Maximo audit tables, including when each record was created and by whom.

Managers find audit table data difficult to read, and reports are disconnected from the Maximo UI where the managerial review is being completed.

In some cases, the same data already exists in the application's main object (poline.enterby, for example). In other cases, (e.g. Item Master), who created the record and when it was created is difficult to discover without reference to audit tables.

In this proposal, access to readonly audit data would be limited to what is currently being audited, and restricted by security group/sigoption. At this time, views of work order audit data would likely need to be excluded due to the performance impacts of auditing the workorder table.
