There are clients who may choose to use Maximo for Transportation now that MAS licensing has changed, and they are entitled. For example, ports/terminals have a lot of vehicles of different types, but they would not be considered a typical Transportation client. Service Provider Facility teams have a lot of vehicles, Utilities have a lot of vehicles. These clients will use Service Requests as the entry point for all work, but there is no Service Requests (Tr) application and hence asset aliases do not work. When work needs to be initiated on a terminal vehicle, a service request should be raised and the vehicle registration number used in the Asset field. Therefore, this idea is to extend Asset Aliases to a new Service Requests (Tr) application, and ideally for the alias lookup to work on all ticket-based applications, so that it could be used on Incidents (HSE), for example. It is not expected that the Alias field would be displayed on other Ticket-based applications, there should not be other clones, only the one for Service Requests (Tr).
