Provide Load Balancing of CU Estimation Across Multiple Cron Pods

We have several large CUEs which were initially causing performance issues on the UI pods while not running in the background. We now require all CUEs to be run in the background. With this configuration, MAS only utilizes one cron pod for the estimation. Users have noticed this results in single queue for estimates. If there is a large estimate, which may take 20 - 30 minutes, the user is left waiting for that job to finish before their estimate is run. This leads to users clicking estimation again which further backs up the queue.

It would be beneficial if we could load balance the CUEs across the multiple cron pods we have available to reduce the processing time and by using multiple queues.

Hello Craig, thank you for submitting this idea and for clearly outlining the challenge around CUE background estimate processing.

We have captured this and I will do a more detailed opportunity assessment to understand whether this is a requirement for other CUE customers as well, and whether there is sufficient business value for IBM to invest in this as a product capability.
