Ford - MVI Enhancements Requests (Cant wait until 2025 to get these in 9.1)

Here are the items we really want to have in the app and cant wait to get these until June 2025.

1 - Is our top priority to improve the app performance and reduce memory issues.

2&3 - Are for managing the users which is our second priority.

1. Pagination to limit number of metadata load (backend pulls all the metadata info along with thumbnails, which is increasing our memory resulting to pod restarts, having discussions Dom/Carl on this)

2. View only mode for users – Currently all users can read, delete data. We would like to create or have user capability to just read the data and not delete it. Maybe one more option to restrict the data deletion process as we don’t have an option to retrieve it once deleted (adding a trash bin option and keeping the data for 24 hours before completely deleting it giving the user an option to restore if needed).

3. LDAP and manage group users by plant – Currently we have one login per plant where multiple users use the same credentials to access the application. We would like to implement LDAP and group users to a specific plant, so that they can access only to that plant’s datasets/models. Also, having capability for set of users (group) to have read and another set of users (group) for read/write.

4. Always on viewable status of copying/deletion under notifications(or create a new tab calling current operations). Also, give user capability to abort/pause/resume options as currently once we start it runs in the background.

5. Auto–crop images on web app.
