Make layers be on by default, but not selectable

I have layers in my Maximo Desktop map that are turned on by default (which is good):

  • Parcel/property polygons

  • Address points

  • Intersection points

However, those layers are also selectable by default. This is not what I want.

When I open the map, and try to select or identify on assets/WOs/etc, I get results from the parcel/address/intersection layers too, which is slow and clutters the results (confusing).

It would be helpful if layers could be turned on by default, but not selectable by default. This could be an optional setting.

    Since the 8.9 release, the identify tool has a selectable layer selector.
