This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).
We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Start by searching and reviewing ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted, and add a comment, vote, or subscribe to updates on them if they matter to you. If you can't find what you are looking for,
Post an idea.
Get feedback from the IBM team and other customers to refine your idea.
Follow the idea through the IBM Ideas process.

At this moment, we are marking this as Future consideration.
We understand the value of keeping domains in sync across systems, but this topic goes beyond the current scope of the Spatial Synchronization tool. In Maximo, domains are handled in a much more controlled and restrictive way than in GIS systems like ArcGIS, where values can be added or removed without necessarily considering references to other objects or tables. In Maximo, domain values are often tightly coupled with business logic and existing records, which makes automatic synchronization more sensitive and potentially impactful.
Additionally, the current Synchronization tool does not treat domains as selectable or manageable artifacts for synchronization. Expanding the tool to support this capability would require broader alignment and implementation not only within the Spatial team but also with the Maximo Core team, given the cross-functional impact.
This is an area we have discussed internally and recognize as valuable, but it requires careful design to ensure data integrity and consistency across systems.
We will continue evaluating this as part of future enhancements.
Thank you again for bringing it forward.
