real issue from users
Please do implement the request and not rely on the workaround.
The work around means having double the number of sorts if you want ascending and descending on every sort.
If you are implementing this for a large number of attributes then there will be a lot of extra entries that could go wrong and need maintaining
There is an easy workaround to this which can be done by creating two sort orders, with opposite directions, labelled appropriately. This is done in the app.xml and can be specified with direction="asc" or direction="desc".
