Enhance Authentication Security on Local Account By Locking User After X Numbers of Logins

In MAS there are some local account that are getting created by default as local users when applications are added. One example of this is the MAXADMIN user when the Manage application is added. This is a required account that can not be disable.

These required accounts have minimal security features to protect them. In the MAXADMIN example this is a super user in Manage that is vulnerable to a brute force attack. A bad actor could perform a brute force attack against this default super user and currently in MAS there are no controls available to protect against this.

In Maximo 7.6.1 a native user, like MAXADMIN, will get blocked after a configurable X number of failed logins. There are also controls that block IP addresses after X failed logins within a configurable time period.

I am requesting an enhancement to lock or block local MAS users after a configurable number of failed logins.
