Option to increase undo timeout for work centers

The timeout for a requester to undo a cancellation of a Service Request after submitting a request using Work Center is only about 5 seconds. This is very short for a person to realize they need to click on that undo icon before the timeout is over and the request is cancelled. Can this be changed to 15 seconds or so?

Steps: 1. A user logs into Maximo Work Center

2. Creates/Submits a new Service Request in Work Center

3. When the user is looking at the open tickets, the user chooses to cancel the newly created Service Request.

4. The Service Request is in Cancel status but Maximo allows users to undo the cancellation.

5. The user waits for 15 seconds and realizes they he/she wants to undo cancellation after all.

6. User is unable undo the cancellation because the status change is committed for the Service Request.

Expected outcome: Add settings in Maximo that will us to increase how long undo button is available to users - say 15 minutes instead of 5 seconds before it commits the cancellation?

Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. We truly value our relationship with you and appreciate your willingness to share details about your experience, your recommendations, and ideas.

I am sorry to inform you that our team has evaluated the request and has determined that it cannot be implemented at this time in Work Centers. However, we are modernizing the user experience of Maximo, which includes a modernized role-based applications where configuration of the undo timer is already an existing feature.

If you would like to be involved in the features of the new role-based applications, or other Maximo modernization efforts at IBM, please email smithjor@us.ibm.com to become part of our sponsored user group, which is a program where you and people in your organization become active participants in the Maximo design process, working alongside our design teams to help us create great future experiences for real target users.

Thank you for your submission. Although this will not be changed in workcenters, we will be allowing configuration of timeouts at the MAS level which will apply to Service Requests in the new Maximo Application Framework.
