Thanks for raising this idea. Up till now our general view has been that this seemed unnecessary given that all MAS resources are already directly accessible via URL. However the ask for a user specified default 'home' keeps coming up so I think it is time for us to explore the use case in more detail and figure out the right way to address it.
So I'm accepting this onto our backlog. The final approach might not be exactly as you describe it here, but our intent would be to address the requirement in some a way that we consider aligns with the MAS design language.

This would be great for a Manage self-service users. A standard self-service users would not necessarily know that Manage is where they need to go within the Suite. If they could be logged into Manage by default and then Manage directs the to the self-service application it would be great! Once logged in they would only see the application they care about eliminating training and confusion for users who rarely utilize MAS.
