TRIRIGA Release Platform upgrades with an OM package instead of everything being in exe file

We have issues every time we take a Platform Upgrade and we have found that it is because Platform Upgrades come as an exe file and automatically update objects (BO, Workflows, etc) without us being able to see what the differences are and deciding what objects to take. Like we have configured the workflow 'triIntegration - Execute' to check the environment before running a job (not sure why it doesn't do that already - seems very dangerous without it). And this object comes in the platform upgrade packages and when it does, it kicks off jobs from our test or dev environments and sends them to production (not good!). It would be so nice if you could supply the OM package for platform upgrades OUTSIDE of the exe. and we can run it as a step 2 after the executable so we can analyze the contents before importing.

    Hello Megan, Thank you for your feedback and ideas. Unfortunately, after evaluating this idea, we have determined that it doesn’t align with our priorities and roadmap strategy.

    There are a handful of platform-managed objects that are not meant to be modified and that the platform controls updates to. Updates for these objects will always be delivered with platform updates and will always override any changes made to them.
