Query Data API need additional information for filter parameters

In the Query Data API, the filter parameters require a dsID (BO Index) to be provided. We can get the other filter parameter information from the Report Metadata endpoint, however, the dsID is not provided as a separate field in this endpoint.

Screenshot attached of the parameters provided in the Report Metadata endpoint (screenshot A).

We can see it is provided when a user filter is added to a column in the query. However, we think the API would be a lot more useful if the dsID, sectionName, fieldName are made available even if the user filter does not exist for that column. For example, in the screenshot (screenshot B) below this is where we would want to see the dsID.

Hi Lou, yes - in Business Connect we are able to filter on columns that don't have a filter specified in the report definition.

Lauren, One additional question of clarification. With business connect, are you able to filter on columns that do not have a filter specified in the report definition?

Hi Lou, the Business Connect API doesn't require specifying anything like the dsID, we only needed to provide the name of the BO. With the Query Data API, the dsID is now required so we need a consistent way to get it.

Hi Lauren, Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM.

Are you able to acomplish this using the business connect API?

I look forward to your response. Thank you again for your feedback.
