Same approval window can be opened multiple times from a User's Email with the risk of two different approval actions.

When user receives an approval notification in his/her Email inbox, they have the options to click on the actions such as 'Approve', 'Return', 'Request Clarification', 'Re-assign' etc. Clicking this action causes the relevant TRIRIGA Approval record to open. However currently the user is able to click on different actions against the same notification (and multiple times) and each of those will result in opening the TRIRIGA Approval record to open multiple times (and each of these could be of a different purpose i.e. Approve, Return, Request Clarification, Re-assign etc). This leads to a situation where a User could submit two different decisions (Approve vs Return for example) against the same approval notification.

Expected Behaviour: 

  • Only one approval window should open when a user clicks an action on the Approval notification action in the User's Email Notification. In case the user clicks multiple actions, the (single) approval window should always reflect the latest action triggered by the User

Note: This issue has been fixed by the Product team for Notifications within the TRIRIGA Application. However for fixing the same for Notifications external to the TRIRIGA System i.e. email notifications in the user's Email inbox, they have suggested to raise an RFE/Idea.
