The workflow "triLeaseAbstract - Synchronous - Default Embedded Clauses" is called when triCreateDraft is triggered on a Lease Abstract. The "Default Embedded Clauses" task in this workflow sets default values to embedded smart sections, which creates 22 dummy Clause records.

This workflow takes up approximately 15 seconds out of the 20 seconds it takes to Create Draft. It also leaves Clause records in the database that are never used.

Can this workflow be retired so that Clauses are created only when the user clicks on Add Clause? If not, how can it be improved so that it does not take up 75% of the transaction time?
