Security Violation: Passwords cannot be shared in config files sent to Support.

From Customer:

I was reviewing the must gather file created from admin console and can see its sharing all the config files in it. The config files have passwords in them (encryted or plain text). Sharing the passwords would be a security violation.

The must gather file, as based on analyzing that file only we found passwords are also being shared.

Most of the info, IBM support would need will be in the system.properties.text file created. Can you ask the dev team to put/enhance the must gather tools to exclude any password related information from being shared?

    Hi Kevin, Thank you for taking the time to provide your ideas to IBM. It appears that this issue is a defect with the current functionality. I am going to close this Idea as a defect and request that you open a Case using this link: https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s/createrecord/NewCase

    I looked into the Case TS015161979 that you included in this Idea with Jeff Long. That Case has an APAR open #IJ48772 to address the initial BIRT issue that you brought forward.

    Jeff agreed that the password sharing is a different defect and requested that you open an separate Case. When you open the case, please include a comment that Jeff Long requested the Case to be opened.
