This portal is to open public enhancement requests against the products and services belonging to IBM Sustainability Software. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

We have three specific scenarios that require this functionality:
Scenario1
Pass through warranty. Truck manufacturers will honor the warranties of subsidiaries and or for those partners with whom they have a business relationship for standard parts. For instance - The Company may buy parts from the manufacturer and if the part fails they would start with the manufacturer. However, if parts are not available for replacement, then The Company is allowed, by contract, pass through the warranty to another manufacturer, who will provide an alternative part or reimbursement. In this case the vendor on the claim line would need to be changed.
Scenario 2
Negotiated number of hours for VMRS work accomplished. Vendors will agree to a number of hours for certain services that they will pay as a default for the work performed, rather than limiting it to what the Tech actually took to perform the work. For example - The vehicle manufacturer may agree that claims for a starter replacement will be paid at a flat rate of 8 hours even if the technician charged 3 hours. In this case the number of hours would need to be changed
Scenario 3
Negotiated hourly rate for VMRS work accomplished. Vendors will agree to a predefined hourly rate for certain services they will pay as a default for the work performed, rather than what the technician is paid per hour to perform the work. For example - Techs at The Company may make $25 an hour but the vehicle manufacturer agreed to reimburse them for a Tire replacement at $50 an hour for the number of hours it took the Tech to complete the work. In this case, the hourly rate would need to be changed.
