Ability for Work Task user to communicate with Requestor

Sometimes, a technician will get assigned to a task that was created to address a service request. When that technician is working on the issue, there may be times that the user needs to communicate with the person that entered the Service Request. Due to the fact that the Work Task app is a perceptive app rather than a native mobile app, the app is not able to utilize notifications on the native device so real-time communications between the Work Task user and the Requestor is a challenge.

    Mike, we promoted this Idea to an Epic and will review periodically for inclusion in a future release.

    In the meanwhile, you may be able to use the notification requirement feature on the comment business object to generate an email.

    Yes - like a messenger service or SMS communications. You type a message with a particular recipient. They receive the message and have the opportunity to reply. And so on... Ideally, this communication is archived.

    What is meant by real-time communication? Do you mean something like a messenger service?
